ED TASCA.  I have published several novels, as well as a unique book entitled The Fables of Leonardo da Vinci, actual fables fleshed in from ideas annotated in the back of the master’s famous notebooks.  Two of my screenplays have been optioned, one of which won grand prize in the 2011 Screenplay Search Competition.  I co-wrote (with Bob Newhart) the introduction to a new edition of Robert Benchley’s original humor columns, explaining why he was so important to so many American comics and humorists.  My other recognitions include: Winner of the Robert Benchley Society Humor Award (2009), of a humorpress.com award, and M. Culbertson’s Life and Humor Award (2008). I have been anthologized in America’s Funniest Humor 2006 and Laugh Your Shorts Off. My work has appeared in humor publications in the U.S., Canada and Mexico.
