Janice Kimball

An author, visual artist and retired university instructor, Janice was born in Detroit, Michigan. Her paintings, sculpture, and printmaking are in the permanent collections of the Henry Ford Library, The Ukrainian Museum of Contemporary Art and Columbia College, Chicago among others. She is the only American painter to be awarded a medal by The National Camara de Commercial in Guadalajara, Mexico. She is currently the owner of Aztec Art and Weaving Studio’s in Ajijic, Mexico, where she has lived for the past seventeen years.  She was for years author of the column Art Talk, before devoting herself to writing books. Her first, Three In A Cage, as well as her upcoming book, The Stalker’s Wife, are works of creative non- fiction.   She also recently published The Joy Of Art. Her short stories about life in Mexico, sometimes fancifully “ghost written” by her avian muse Max Bird, often appear in Mexico’s English language periodicals.
