JOHN THOMAS DODDS. John lives with his wife Candis and furry companions, in the beautiful village of Ajijic, Jalisco, Mexico. Raised in both Canada and the United States, John moved to Texas in 1968. There he spent 15 years living and working at various jobs and earned a degree in Creative Writing from the University of Texas at El Paso. Following careers as an entrepreneur, consultant and teacher, he retired from his job as a Special Education Teacher in Western Massachusetts to live permanently in Mexico. His writing career has spanned 50 years, and includes collections of poetry that explore relationships, spirituality, creativity, and his romance with life. They speak of joy, sadness, fear, anger, compassion, disappointment, acceptance, anticipation, optimism, awe and love. As John explains, “For the most part, they reflect the romance I have with this journey I am on. The Tao says, when all words are exhausted, the truth appears. I am doing my small part in writing these poems, to spread the word and seek the truth. When you listen to the words, they exist because of meaning, once you have gotten the meaning, you can forget the words and just feel.”
